The Message (MSG)
"Work from the heart for your real Master, for God, confident that you’ll get paid in full when you come into your inheritance. Keep in mind always that the ultimate Master you’re serving is Christ."
What We Learn
This verse reminds us that our work—whether big or small—should be done with excellence and devotion, not for human approval but to honor God. It shifts our perspective from seeking recognition from people to serving God with integrity. When we approach our daily tasks with this mindset, our work becomes an act of worship.
Reflection
Do you sometimes feel unappreciated in your work or responsibilities? How would your attitude change if you truly worked as though serving God? Today, shift your focus from seeking human approval to working with excellence for the Lord.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the opportunities You give me to work and serve. Help me to do everything with excellence and a heart that seeks to glorify You. Remind me that my ultimate reward comes from You, not people. Give me the strength and diligence to honor You in all that I do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
