Victory Through Christ

Bible Verse of the Day – Revelation 12:10

New International Version (NIV):

"Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: 'Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.'"

King James Version (KJV):

"And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night."

New King James Version (NKJV):

"Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, 'Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.'"

New Living Translation (NLT):

"Then I heard a loud voice shouting across the heavens, 'It has come at last—salvation and power and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down to earth—the one who accuses them before our God day and night.'"

English Standard Version (ESV):

"And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, 'Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God.'"

The Message (MSG):

"Then I heard a strong voice out of Heaven, saying, 'Salvation and power are established! Kingdom of our God, authority of his Messiah! The Accuser of our brothers and sisters thrown out, who accused them day and night before God.'"

What We Learn:

This verse reminds us that Satan, the accuser, has already been defeated by Jesus Christ. He constantly seeks to remind us of our past sins and shortcomings, but his accusations no longer hold power because of Christ’s victory. The salvation, strength, and authority of God reign supreme.

We do not need to live in fear or condemnation. Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross has given us freedom from guilt and shame. The enemy has been cast down, and we can stand firm in the victory of Christ.

Reflection:

  1. Do you sometimes struggle with guilt and condemnation?
  2. How can you remind yourself daily that Satan’s accusations have no power over you?

Take a moment to thank God for the victory you have in Christ.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the victory we have through Jesus Christ. I refuse to listen to the accusations of the enemy because You have declared me forgiven and redeemed. Help me to walk in the confidence of Your salvation and strength. Fill me with faith and remind me daily that the enemy has no power over me. I stand firm in the authority of Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
