"Don’t seek revenge or carry a grudge against any of your people. 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' I am God."

This verse from Leviticus emphasizes the importance of love and forgiveness in our relationships. It commands us not to harbor grudges or seek revenge but to love others as we love ourselves. This teaching is central to how we should interact with others—treating them with compassion, patience, and grace, just as we would want to be treated. We learn that love is not merely a feeling but an action. By choosing to forgive and let go of bitterness, we reflect God’s character.

This verse also underscores that our love for others is grounded in God’s authority ("I am the Lord"), reminding us that loving others is a command, not an option. This teaching echoes throughout the Bible and was even emphasized by Jesus in the New Testament as the second greatest commandment.
