Confidence in Approaching God

Bible verse  of the day  - Ephesians 3:12

NIV (New International Version)

In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

KJV (King James Version)

In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

NKJV (New King James Version)

In whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.

NLT (New Living Translation)

Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence.

ESV (English Standard Version)

In whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.

MSG (The Message)

When we trust in him, we’re free to say whatever needs to be said, bold to go wherever we need to go.

From Ephesians 3:12, we learn several key spiritual truths:

1. Access to God:

Through faith in Jesus Christ, we have direct access to God. There is no need for intermediaries; Christ's sacrifice has opened the way for us to approach God personally.

2. Boldness and Confidence:

The verse emphasizes that we can come before God with boldness and confidence, not with fear or hesitation. This boldness is not rooted in our own worthiness, but in the finished work of Christ, who gives us the assurance to approach God’s presence freely.

3. Faith in Christ:

Our ability to access God is grounded in our faith in Jesus. Faith is the channel through which we receive the confidence to come before God, knowing that He welcomes us as His children.

4. Freedom in Relationship with God:

This verse highlights the freedom we have in our relationship with God. We are not bound by fear or legalism, but we are free to communicate openly with God, knowing that He listens and cares.

In essence, Ephesians 3:12 teaches us about the profound privilege believers have in Christ—a privilege of unhindered, confident access to God. It encourages us to approach Him without fear, trusting fully in His grace.
